Solvent red 52 is referred to by many names including Solvent Red 5B, Transparent Red 5B, Transparent Red H5B, Oil Red 5B, Oil Red R and Sumiplast Red HL5B.
As we all know it mainly used in coloring of polyethylene,acetate fibre and thermoplastic, such as: HIPS, ABS, PC, RPVC, PMMA, SAN, AS, PA6 and PET.
In addition, Solvent red 52 is used in the production of 2,8-Dimethyl-8H-benzo[b]naphtho(1,2,3,4-lmn)[4,7]phenanthrolin-9-one that it needs reagent polyphosphoric acid at temperature of 175 - 180℃. And the reaction time is 6 hours.
